Very basic sculpting and painting- though the eyes are nicely done. It’s something I’ve seen in other images of SW Toys figures, and in my Yennefer one. Lara stands up well so a base is not necessary- I only use bases for figures that really cannot stand (my Sideshow Nathan Drake has a case of the delayed onset knee looseness that means he can no longer support his own weight). This figure did not come with a base (I used a generic black crotch holder one and printed out a black tomb raider sticker- it’s easy to find the font online or copy the logo itself). The head was covered in a thin piece of plastic to prevent the hair getting messed up. I like the foam interiors as they cushion the products nicely and prevent any damage. Like a lot of figures the box was a shoebox style with the interior of a fairly dense foam with cut outs for the character and accessories. This is especially noticeable on her eyes and lips. Not the most exciting aspect, but the box that this figure came in was nicely designed with a picture of the figure on the front that appeared in the promo images. When I compare mine with photos of other owners, including this thread, it looks like the upper part lacks the glossy finish meant to make skin look more lifelike. He said he got it from a Sideshow employee and it was used at SDCC and other shows as display sample.Īnyway, despite some issues with the accessories (like holsters and backpack obviously torn away and then glued back), the upper part of the statue (face, neck, palms) seems to have a bit darker tone compared to the rest of it. The statue comes without a number (the stand is just clear, no numbers/letters/etc.), and the seller listed it as artist proof. I've purchased this statue from ebay, and there is something strange about it. Sorry for waking this old thread up, but I need your advice.
